Group TAC created a 24-episode adaptation that aired on TV Tokyo from January 8, 2001 to June 25, 2001. They created a second 24-episode series, titled Grappler Baki: Maximum Tournament (グラップラー刃牙 最大トーナメント編), that aired from July 23, 2001 to December 24, 2001. Funimation Entertainment licensed all 48 episodes in North America and released them on DVD between June 14, 2005 and February 27, 2007.^[1] Their English dub aired on the Funimation Channel beginning on June 19, 2006.^[2]
